We think so! Our totes are vacuumed and sanitized without using harsh chemicals. They are clean and ready for you to pack up your belongings; even your white bath towels are safe in our totes!

* Then, select a package that fits your needs and add it to your cart. Answer all of the questions to determine your personalized quote.
* Next, complete the check-out process online securely through Stripe.
* You will need to authorize a security deposit amount to be held on your credit card. This is only a hold authorization.
* After that you will select your delivery / self pick-up date / time using our scheduling app. We will send you reminders through email and text so that you can stay on schedule.
* You will receive your totes the day your rental begins.
* Now you can pack up and move to your new location.
* Within seven (7) days of the end of your rental, you will schedule your pick-up or self-drop off day and time using our simple scheduling app.
* Your totes will be returned on the last day of your rental.

No worries! If you determine that you need more rental totes, please contact our office. After we hear from you, we will check our inventory to see if we can cover your needs. Once approved, you will be allowed to complete an add-on order. This will be at an additional charge and delivery fee.
Absolutely! Just contact us and you will be sent a link to extend your order. Then we will ensure that the totes are not reserved for an upcoming order. If your extension is approved additional fees will apply.

It is more economical than you might think! Most plastic moving tote packages average .40 cents per tote per day which totals $2.80 per tote per week. Our dollies average $15 per week. Visit our packages page to select your type of move to get started and get your customized quote!
Yes, we ask you to authorize a fully refundable damage deposit when you are ready to book your delivery. This will be done within seven (7) days of the beginning of your rental period. Security deposit for delivery is $200 and for self pick-up is $250. Please see the Damage Deposit section of our Smarter Moves Rental Agreement.
We accept all major credit and debit cards backed by Visa, Discover, Mastercard, and American Express. We do not accept cash or checks as we prefer all orders to be booked online. There are no additional fees charged when paying with a card.
We ask that you keep our totes for the agreed-upon rental period. If you need an earlier pick-up, that can be scheduled. However, it will not result in a return of any funds as outlined in our Rental Agreement.
A dolly can be added to any package you choose. As a matter of fact, you can rent one (1), two (2), three (3), or maybe even four (4) dollies depending on the package you select. Our dollies are specifically designed to house our totes. Check them out here.
We do have FREE delivery to all addresses with a Houma zip code. Currently, Smarter Moves Tote Rentals services all of Terrebonne Parish. Learn all about our delivery here. Please refer to our Delivery Pricing Map for specific zip codes and delivery charges for each location. However, there is no charge if you choose to self pick-up and drop-off your rental order.

YES, you or your designee must be able to accept the delivery. To preserve the cleanliness and functionality of our product, our totes should never be placed or left outside. Additionally, we want to be sure you get your exact order and make sure everything is perfect for your move.
Currently, we service the Terrebonne Parish area. Please contact us if you live out of Terrebonne area or if you are moving to a nearby area and would still like to book a rental package.
Of course! If you need our delivery associate to bring them up the stairs, there is an additional charge. The check-out process questions cover this topic. But, you could choose to have us deliver to you on the first floor for no extra fee.
That is a great question! Yes, we can make an additional pick-up to get those empty totes out of your way. However, additional pick-up charges may apply. If you drop off the totes at our business location at an agreed-upon scheduled time, there will not be any additional charges. Both of these MUST be scheduled online.

Great question. No, we do not rent or sell any other moving supplies. We realize that there may be some items you will want to get to assist in your move. Your tote package includes our plastic moving boxes and a label for each tote. Dollies are available for rent and are optional.
No, we do not offer any of these services. We plan to partner with some local companies that offer these services. Once we set up a partnership, we will offer recommendations to our customers.
No, we are sorry, our totes are not for sale. We have a limited inventory and must purchase these sturdy plastic crates in bulk. Our business is based on rentals only. We know, these totes are amazing! We like to call them the Super Heroes of moving boxes! ; )
Just about anything that will fit properly. Books, clothes, dishes, collectibles, office equipment, bathroom toiletries, pantry items, etc.
We do have some requests. Please do not pack perishable foods, hazardous waste or chemicals, or unlawful items in our precious totes. We would appreciate if you do NOT put children or pets in our totes as well. It had to be said…
Our totes can hold approximately fifty-five (55) lbs and can be stacked up to four (4) high. It is possible to stack them five (5) high if the weight is less in each tote.
Our totes are thoroughly vacuumed and sanitized after each rental to ensure the next customer receives clean ready-to-pack totes. First, we vacuum each tote with a commercial-grade machine. Then we wipe the inside and outside with a cleaner made from eco-friendly ingredients: water, natural detergent, rubbing alcohol, and vinegar. No harsh chemicals; only the best for our customers. As outlined in our rental agreement, replacement fees will be subtracted from your damage deposit. If the fees for replacement of our equipment exceeds the damage deposit amount, we will charge your payment method for the additional amount. Please refer to our Rental Agreement.
NONE! Our totes come ready to pack; no assembly is required! We will provide you with one (1) FREE label per tote to organize your boxes and save you time. The labels we provide should be placed on the identified area on each tote. You will not need tape to secure the lids since they are attached and snap together. You will remove all identifying labels from our equipment before returning.
