Smarter Moves Tote Rentals is a female-owned business in the Terrebonne Parish area. We have been in operation since 2025 and are so happy to be able to offer a new service to our community!

After dedicating 30 years to Terrebonne Parish Public Schools, Tessie Hebert is embarking on a new journey to help Houma, Louisiana, move smarter and greener. She is passionate about reducing waste and excited to introduce a modern, sustainable, moving resource; an alternative to traditional cardboard boxes.
A lifelong resident of Terrebonne Parish, Tessie grew up in East Houma and graduated from South Terrebonne High before earning her degree in Education from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux. She has served the community as both a teacher and administrator, and now, she’s channeling her commitment to service into making moving easier and more eco-friendly for local families and businesses.
“I know how stressful moving can be. My goal is to simplify the process, reduce waste, and offer a more reliable solution than flimsy cardboard boxes,” says Tessie. “Reusable plastic moving totes are sturdier, cleaner, and more efficient. Additionally, our convenient delivery and pick-up service makes the process seamless.”
